My dearest ummi was transferred to Hosp Selayang after 9 days of spiking temperatures...

Ummi first complained of having severe tummy ache. I thought its just an acute gatritis hence i asked waled to bring ummi to Hosp Kuala Kubu baru for immediate treatment.

Hosp Kuala Kubu is nearer to home than Hosp Sg Buloh.

But Hosp Sg Buloh has better expertise than district hosp like KKB..

So i called up Azran what sort of treatment he initiated on my mother..

He speculated that the source of fever is coming from the urine.. he tested ummi's urine and it seems 'a lil bit infected'..

then he sent for urine culture..

he deduced that the spiking temperature was somewhat 'sepsis secondary to UTI' even tho theres NO leucocytosis ( ummi nyer total white cells dalam 7-9 je .. tak raise pun.. Hb 12.. platelet 200-250.. hct 36...and ummi tak tachycardic pun..

he started ummi on iv rocephine on D4 of illness..

i rang up and insist of him discussing my mother ailments with physician in tertiary hosp like selayang..

he said he's already sent blood culture;s of ummi to selayang and 'need to wait for empty beds before can safely referred ummi to selayang..

all this while i can just pray the treatment is on the right track..

sebab ummi ada history pergi janda baik utk berkelah.. i'm afraid of leptosprirosis or WWF..

sebelum balik tganu, i examined my ummi's belly. It seems that its quite painful at the right hypochondriac region.. murphy;s sign negative... bowel sound present..

CHolecystitis can cause that.. worse hepatomegaly...

Ummi takde symptoms of obstruction like jaundice.. pale stool or tea coloured urine..and Azran said liver enzymes ummi semuanya within normal limits.

Tapi kalau baru nak dapat hepatomegaly.. kekadang perut rasa bloated and sakit.. what causes it?

VIRUS ? PARASITES? putting everything in the picture, with the spiking temperature and on and off constant abdominal pain.. oh what i can think about is INFECTION. tak pun impending hepatomegaly.
